HI , i bought 4 juv angels few weeks ago , and they were in QT for 2 weeks , they ate well , and i didn t see anythin wrong with them ,and a few days ago i putem in 55 tank ,today i just notice two of my angels have small area of their tails some kinda rotten , they still eat well and act normal , but i m worry if it s a disease , so here s the pix :

so what do u think ? what should i do ?

maybe say how to cure it you two are a big help sorry i don't know how to cure it do a google of how to cure fin rot

It depends on what meds are available in a given area. It's no use me saying "use Interpet No. 5" or something because that's only available in the UK (or possibly elsewhere in Europe).

A quick google search will tell you (a) what the causative organisms are, and (b) what meds are available in different areas. You need a med effective against external bacteria.

thnx , i googled it and i think the medicine that s available for me here , s Sera Baktapour . anybody have experience with it ?

 i don know what r u tryin to say ! but welcome aboard :welcome:

owl,

I too think it's fin rott, look into what's causing it. It could be bacterial, or just water conditions.

You indicated that you do not have a test kit, if you want us to help you, you will need to get yourself a liquid test kit.

I suspect that this is a result of ammonia burn, and the stress of moving those angels from one tank to another. A few weeks of QT is not enough, and this could be bacterial, which will spread.

Good luck

where did the fish come from? how were they transported?

could also be remnants of aggression or ammonia burns.

but either way.. fresh clean water is your best bet.
