Yea- he has been. He runs into structures when they are first introduced but then he figures them out and gets around without issue. Just like a blind person I guess- who needs to know what their home layout is-
ADVICE: If you have plecos in a tank with cichlids, REMOVE THEM!!!
Melody, I know Daredevil is aware of all the support behind him!!! He's doing GREAT and as of today, I feel like we are BEYOND the "hump". If he hasn't had a hick-up yet, then I dont feel he'll have another. It's just recovery for his eye sockets now.
Daredevil is healing up rather nicley. His two sockets are healing differently and are in different stages. The right eye looks better than the left, but its been like that this whole time. It seems the sockets are colapsing in to create a smooth ridge where his eyes once were. The right socket is healing from the outside in, while the left from the inside out. I think the left side was a deeper wound. When I found him he had one eye that then went missing about an hour after I first started posting, so it makes sence that one may be worse than the other.
So here are some shots of both eyes. You can see the differences in the healing pocesess. The new tissue is actually keeping the pattern along the rest of his body, so I think it will look nice and smooth when he's done fixing up.
Excuse the mess he's made. We do waterchanges early afternoon, so he has some waste and crumbled food from this morning still lingering.
You can see/compare/track all the photos, from Day 1 in my "Daredevil" photobucket album here:
Thank you for ALL the support and love!!! He's doing great. His fins are maybe another week away from 100%, and I'd give it another 3-4 weeks for his eyes to fully heal.
Its really neat to look through the photos starting from Day 1 on the Albulm. His recovery has been remarkable! These guys are tough!
