hey guys! i've been pretty bust the last few days. i got myself a bit bigger of a tank to add to my collection.:evil_lol: it's a 55g. so i decided to rip all the plants out of my old tank and set them up in this one because it will be where i can see it more, instead of around the corner. here's my old thread. http://www.aquariacentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=180881
i figured my new tank deserved a new thread. it has blue gravel, and i know you guys are probably gonna say it's tacky but i don't have time to switch it right now or energy for that matter..lol. the blue goes with all my stuff anyways so it fits in with the room at least so idon't mind it. the background will be switched soon and the plastic stumps will be removed when it's warm enough to collect some real driftwood from the river. the plants have a lot of growing in to do. as always, your comments are more than welcome. :) Enjoy!

a flower on my anubias nana. i'm not sure what happened to it, but i found some pond snails when i was switching over so i'm assuming that they were munching on the leaves. :swear: i'm wondering if it's safe to put some stuff to get rid of the snails in there with the plants, or if it will hurt them.

Nice job! While I'm not fond of blue gravel, it's not that bad!!!:thm:

The gravel actually doesn't look too shabby there!

You never can be sure with products on the market these days, I'll wait for someone with a little more experience to answer : ]

your right the blue gravel is tacky.... LOL opinions are like a## holes everyone has one and most of em stink... present company excepted... your planting looks great

thanks for the nice comments everyone. i have tried to incorperate everything i've learned so far on here from all you guys to help make the tank look it's best. i still have a lot to learn. it's like christmas whenever i get a new tank. i have 2 bags of 'black' river gravel(which is really a mix of a lot of different colours but mostly dark) that i am planning to put in there eventually but i highly doubt it will be any time soon. lol. like i said, i can tolerate the blue for now. it goes well with the curtains/pillows/other crap i have in the room. i now have 9 tanks up and running, and 3 empty ones. i keep thinking 'okay, that's it, i'm not getting anymore' lmao. that only lasts until i see one i want though.

Aw, come on, didn't you notice how it makes the blue in the tetras pop out? It matches them, that's like tetra bling!:bling:

i noticed that right away.
