Upgrading to 90g

Go fish yourself.
I am looking at upgrading to a 90g. I found 2 tanks that both have potential but each has drawbacks.

The first one is in a very convenient location to me, but the tank, stand, canopy and all FILTHY. I cannot tell if there are any scratches because of all the grime. The stand/canopy could also use another coat of paint. It also comes with an eheim filter (not sure what model), a bunch of rocks, a strip light, heater. He will accept $350 for it.

Here is a link to the other tank, which is not as convenient to me - actually it will be quite a pain to get to: http://www.aquabid.com/cgi-bin/auction/auction.cgi?aquariums100&1240015780
This guy will accept $450 for all that stuff.

I might be able to negotiate further - but for which tank? I'm not sure what to do. Help!

I would think how "filthy" is filthy? Would it be something that you would enjoy cleaning up? If not, go with the other tank in the link.

I wouldn't mind cleaning it up really. The only problem is that it is so incredibly coated with grime that it is impossible to tell if there are scratches on it, or if there is any other damage.

I'd go with the link. It doesn't sound as convienent to pick up, but you only need to pick it up once.

The other tank it sounds like you dont know the condition of the tank. Plus you'd have to spend money giving it another coat of pain on the stand and canopy.
