Please identify the fish in the photos.

Any help in this mater will be highly appreciated.

looks like a stressed M. Johanni or a Maingano, it can be difficult to tell the difference. I have no idea if it's a male of female It's an african cichlid from lake Malawi. Colorful and aggressive, they lke lots of rock :)

Yeah, I believe it is one of those 2: Melanochromis johannii or Melanochromis cyaneorhabdos (Maingano). If its white gets blue, then it is a Maingano.

Excuse me, please. I have to state that M. johannii males can get some blue color, too.
 
Looks like it may be mixed with a blue cobalt... Did you get him from a mixed cichlid tank? He does look really stressed. I have 2 Johanii... Just picked one up and hoping I have a breeding pair... From the looks of the fins it looks like he may have been chewed on or beat up real bad...
 
well his fins are definitely shredded he also looks skinny i am surprised he still alive.. you may have to take him back so he isnt killed.. good luck on that.. but i would have to agree Johanni type..
