Teacher sends boy, 5, home with bag of poo

has anyone thought aobut the fact that a child crapping in a classroom is a health hazard to all?
And if a child has a bm in his pants and it "falls out" of his pants.....it is a hazard cause some child may pick it up..handle it etc etc
A child that is not potty trained should not be in kindergarten
a child that has numerous accidents in school needs to go to a doctor.
we never hear the teachers side:
1. perhaps the teacher has contacted parents numerous times and parents deny it
2. perhaps parents ignore the fact
3. perhaps perfect child lies and says it wasnt him
4. perhaps child does it on purpose
5. perhaps these are parents that never acknolwedge anything...
the teacher can not publically defend herself.
granted it was mishandled but i will gurantee that teacher was probably at her wits end trying to get the parents to handle a situation that is harmful for every child in that classroom.
Please remember there are two sides to every story and u are only hearing what the parents want you to hear.
At the school I teach at...we have 3 children who "wet themselves" at least once a day....These are not children who are pysically challenged, or have medical conditions, possibly psychological problems but all six of the parents refuse to have there child put in counseling.
all six of the parents...think it is a teacher's job to potty train their 7 year old!
because "well at home we remind him/her every half hour to go potty"
now understand: there are 20 other children in each of those classes....there are 20 other children who are subjected to a teacher taking time at least once sometimes 3 times in one day to clean the students seat, or the carpeting, or wherever it is the child leaked....that is 15 minutes of "safe practice standards" that total up to time being taken away from every child in the class to deal with one childs psychological issues which the parents say do not exist and refuse to do anything about.
Or how aobut the child that comes to school smelling real real bad....whose face has not been washed whose clothes are cruddy....and whose parents are not "poor" who live in the best house in town, drive the best car, and wear stunning outfits,,but the kid stinks..cause the child has not been taught simple hygeine by the parents?
Or how about the parents who are convinced their child is brilliant, who pressure the child to perform who are upset if the child does not get an A,,and truth be told the kid is just normal...and is a really sweet child who is so afraid of getting less than a A he cries constantly, is a nervous child and afraid parents will be disappointed....
Or how aobut the child the comes to school and tells the teacher all aobut the fight...mom and dad had last night.....or the woman dad was kissing that wasnt mommmy, or the fact that mommy gets sick everynight,,or that some guy with a tow truck took our car away, or my dad wants mr smith to drop dead cause thats what he said.....
please remember there are two sides to everything
teachers remember that everytime your kids come to school in the morning and say guess what......

and sending the child home with the hazard simply exposes others to the hazard..
there are better ways to contain it then that.
I understand that the teacher was 'trying to make a point' but there are better, safer and less crude ways of doing that.
like calling a parent teacher interview for example. talk to the parents. express your concerns. don't send the kid home with a biohazard in a bag..
it was sealed in a bag, it's not like she wrapped it in paper towel and left it in there. i figure she has probably tried to talk to the parents about it, tried to get the kid help, tried to just deal with it quietly, tried, tried and tried everything. there is a kid in my moms class that has bms whenever he wants wherever he wants. it's disgusting and it's the parents responsibility to deal with that issue not the schools. if they can't get the problem under control they need to stay home and home school until they can. or make him wear a pull up and sit it in until he gets home so they can clean it themselves. teachers aren't getting paid to clean poo. seems like the teacher has brought it to the parents attention several times with no success.
Although not pleasant, the teacher handled this very poorly and could've created trauma for the child.
In case some of you don't know, there are legit reasons while a 5 year old child could have an accident. Children with autism and other disorders somtimes lose bodily sensations, also children who suffer from abuse, and others with medical conditions that lead to incontinence.

A friend of mine has a child that would have bm's in her pants when she was 6. Her mother was abusive and a drug addict. The father (who is my friend) has custody now and he took her to the doctor. They found out she had a blocked bowel and that was what her problem was.
There are many sides to this story that we just don't know. The only thing I feel was handled wrong is; the poo should have never been sent home with the child.
