My briggs dont move

well after a full day of almost no movement i literally just threw them in a small container of dechlorinated/heavy metal neutralized Poland spring water and am seeing some good movement already.....

something is up with my water/tank that i need to investigate.

Why did you add salt, Coach?
i feel like i answered that question in chat a few minutes ago...lol

in a feable attempt to save my tiger barbs that were in the tank from a really bad mini-cycle. (they did not make it) i then did a crummy pwc which didnt remove most of the salt (most likely). I also most likely put way too much salt in.

long story short...i wasnt too responsible ini taking care of the tank and rushed into something without thinking....

Oops...I forgot about this. I'll get the chat log to make it easier for us to straighten things out.:)

[coach_z] 6:08 pm: i finally found out whats wrong with my snails....
[biomajorstudent] 6:09 pm: Whats wrong, Coach?
[coach_z] 6:10 pm: SALT! snails cant tolerate much salt....i previously ad salt in the tank.
[Lupin] 6:11 pm: Was that for ich, Coach?
[coach_z] 6:18 pm: Lupin: it was in a last attempt to save my tiger barbs after the tank went through an extremely large mini-cycle. they were gasping terribly and their gills were blood red.
[Lupin] 6:18 pm: Did the barbs recover?
[coach_z] 6:19 pm: the barbs did not make it, i did disolve the salt. this was a while ago and these snails werent in the tank. I changed the water to get the nitrates down but forgot about the salt i put in, which i admit was probably WAY too much
[Lupin] 6:20 pm: The salt should be reduced by water changes, Coach.
[coach_z] 6:21 pm: Lupin i dont think i did a very big water change because i had nothing in the tank and didnt plan on it for a while
[Lupin] 6:23 pm: If you hadn't done water changes for awhile, start small and go big daily until you are sure the salt is minimized or eliminated.

Glad I read this thread, I have some apple snails who have become sluggish of late - and my temp is up around 78-80F. I'll go lower it and see what happens.
