our new fish might have dropsy and parasites. he is QT with our other new goldfish which are doing great. but the new one has a whitish/grey film over him and it looks like his scales are starting to stick out. and he just sits on the bottom most of the time.

HELP. we dont want to loose him.

Hang in there. What are your water parameters right now? How long has it been under quarantine? Do you have pictures of the white areas?

we have had him for about 2 weeks now. water is good. just checked today again w/ API liquid kit. other 2 fish are good. should we move the other ones?
they have been in there for over a month.

how big would you say a baby should be before being put in with 6" single tails?

If you can guarantee it gets its fair share of food, I'd say 4 inches will work. Single tails are feistier.

I've added 2 to 2.5 inch comets and wakins in with my 10 inch comets with no problems and no signs of aggression. As long as the new babes aren't mouth size and you don't have a particularly aggressive fish in the tank, it should be okay.

well, the new ryunkin died today. dont uderstand it. everything happened in 24 hours. other babys are great still.
