i have ich in my 10 planted gallon tank that im gonna treat, they incluse 2 otos, 3 big fat cherry barbs, and 2 clown loaches. Can i use salt to treat them or will the oto not like the salt, as with the plants, should i move the plants?

Do not use anything with copper in it. Oto's are sensitive to copper. As for the salt, 'skin' fish can be irritated by it, but if used in the right amounts, I think they would be less irritated by the salt than by the ich. I'm not 100% though, as I have never personally used salt with any of the fish that you mentioned.
I'd try heat and salt. Search the site for ich treatment and you'll find a ton of posts about it.
Once you get a handle on the ich problem, you should re-examine your stock list. Clown loaches aren't a good choice for a 10 gallon for any length of time.

Its a lesson learned - when you grow the fish too big for the tank that means you're doing something right!
Crank the heat first, bring it up to 84 and see what happnes. I would skip the salt completely. Loaches are scaleless fish and the salt will bother their sensitive skin. The heat should be enough. Get on top of your water changes- Ich is opportunistic- something is wrong with your water chemistry if your fish are getting ich, and don't feed them for the next couple (4-5) days.

Bring temp up slowly! Too quickly will stress the fish. I wouldn't do more than a degree an hour change.

There is no need to skip the salt. Use table salt and dose a tablespoon per 5g. Just be sure to dissolve the salt thoroughly and add slowly to the tak. I've used salt with all my loaches and catfish with no ill results. Key point is dissolve the salt.

I doubt the change is quick. Heater adjusts the temperature gradually, not instantly. Get the knob of the heater right to 86 degrees Fahrenheit and maximize the oxygen by turning on all airpumps.
thats EXACTLY what im doing lol, temp up to 80 and 2 table spoons for the 10 gallon, i know the clowns need bigger space, i just moved them in there from my main tank, a 35 gallon, be cause they had ich, none of the other fish in the main dont seem to have ich yet so yay! i thin its because of the uv light filter
