Please ID this growth on LR

At first I thought something was dying, but this stuff is growing the the shaded regions of the tank. Its like almost plaster like.

Dont know what it is but how long have you had the rock?

It looked like dead coralline to me...but if its growing, i dunno.

Possibly a type of sponge, that would be my best guess. I have similar looking things growing in my tanks and they are sponges. One giveaway is if only grows in darker areas and inside holes in the live rock.
