Every time someone brings up the topic of global warming on the forums, 10 people line up to talk about how it's bad science or bs. Any one of those with that inclination care to put some money where their mouth is and offer up some sources? I've seen scads of info that argue strongly for the presence of global warming at the hand of man, but very little credible documentation arguing against it. Being of skeptical nature though, I'd like to see what the other side has to say. Anyone care to show some scientific texts of a non politicized nature to back up the argument against global warming?

"Global warming is fake DUH!! Did the oceans rise and flood our citys?! NO! Is the temperature outside 1000 degrees?! NO!!! Goblal warming is just a myth like Bigfoot or Jackie Chan."

I get a lot of that when I tell people to disprove global warming.

I personally believe global warming is partially caused by human activities, but may also be partially attributed to nature.

This graph shows the changes in temperature over the past 400000 years as interpreted from ice core data. It clearly shows a cyclical pattern with a peak near modern day (time 0). Not completely conclusive, but it's at least part of the argument.

I saw something the other day where there was actually more growth in some glacier somewhere :) Man has to have some negative effect even though I hate to think of it :( SONHOFFA:swear:

Fishshrod, the "growth" they were referring to is merely the glacier flowing faster, because it is lubricated by its own meltwaters. In other words, that form of glacier "growth" implies global warming.

That's right , I remember that now :( Still ,SONHOFFA :mad2:

I personally believe that global warming is a factual geologic event. I am also certain that mankind has had an impact on it but reserve judgment as to how much of an impact. Some things that man has been blamed for I believe to be of natural occurrence and others that natural occurrence is the given cause may be man made. I don't feel that science is anywhere near as accurate as they claim since many things are based upon theory and conjecture. It all comes down to interpretation of findings and running those findings against currently accepted theories.
