I have spixis, and I have briggs of all colors. I dont know how many spixis, I will have to count them ~ shoot me a PM if you want briggs, and I know I have a few' spixi's .

It is very easy for a clutch of eggs or a baby snail to hitch a ride on a plant or net or gravel vac or even your hand without you knowing it, allowing them to interbreed.

I contacted the USDA guy that came to see me a few months back and they as well as the giant ramshorns have not been removed from the intrastate ban. Ship at your own risk......and I mean the risk of losing all of your snails as well as prosecution.

Just a reminder..some species are not allowed acroos state lines...and only available within the state. Please remeber to follow regulations. Thanks!

So sale within NH of C. Rams/Marisas and Ansolene Spixis are prohibited as well? I thought if I got then from someone who lives in NH like me it would not be a problem.

Okay so within NH it's okay. If you live in NH and have Ansolene Spixis or Columbian Rams/Marisas (gold or striped) please PM me. I'm willing to pay for shipping. Depending on where in Manchester, NH you live I can pick up.

Thanx again.

Hey Mrssacevedo. This is still a possibility as well, depending on what's restricted at the state level where you live. So if you're not sure about local a regional restrictions in place for your area, contact your state USDA office for more info.

To clarify some of the information as it relates to your WTB thread... Any snails (not banned within your state) can be obtained legally from sources within the state. However, interstate transport restrictions on a Federal level still apply for shipments from anywhere else. Fairly recent changes allow us to ship briggs (diffusas) and their egg clutches across state lines without a permit. So you could acquire those from anyone/anywhere. Both marisas and spixis are still restricted from interstate transport. You'll have to obtain those locally (within state).

Will add some reference links that may be of interest. Good luck with your WTB request... I have similar difficulties trying to find local sources for canas and haustrums. And I'm usually overrun with spixis I can't sell out of state. :)

What is the reason for the restrictions on them? Or is it one of those "ferrets illegal in cal. and Hawaii"?
