Ok so i've got a gravel substrate in my tank and would love to put a few corydoras in it eventually.

Anyone have experience with them and gravel? Didn't say on the packet how fine the gravel is but on the manufacturer's website it says suitable for bottom feeders and barbels.

Its pettex gravel so has anyone used this and if so were the corys ok with it or would they be happier in the long run with sand? (i'd rather have them as comfortable as possible)

heres a link to it

The link you gave has several types of gravel. Some look fine for cory, some don't.Which kind of gravel do you have?

its not really rounded more irregular but its very fine and feels exactly like sand.

Ive got one more question though, how deep should i make the substrate to give them enough room to dig?

I don't think they really dig down into the substrate, more just snuffle around on the surface of it; although I've only kept them on gravel, so maybe it's because they they can't dig into that.

I keep cory's on natural gravel, (rounded). I go over it with the vacuum once a week
to keep it clean and they are fine. they don't need any special substrate, plain simple gravel will be fine provided it's smooth and rounded. keep it clean to help prevent infections.
