Prime $ or Pond Prime?

CWO4GUNNER

USN/USCG 1974-2004 Weps
I just purchased 2 liters (2000 mil) of Pond Prime for $47 which includes shipping and treats 40,000 gallons or 5 mil/1 cap treats 100 gallons. This compared to regular Prime which cost about $58 for 2 liters with shipping and treats only 20,000 gallons or 5 mil/1 cap treats 50 gallons. Is this a no brainer deal since both are the same only one is twice the strength and cost less due to marketing?

My next purchase is going to be "Safe" the powder version of Prime. > > http://www.customaquatic.com/estore/control/product/~product=AD-SC386;jsessionid=84BFF81756E6D1BE08A7126380FB9F2C.jvm1

If my math was right? Which I doubt. It's even cheaper.

Hmmm? The only thing I notice that is different is that Prime Safe make no mention of "promote, protect, and regenerate slime coat" like regular or Pond Prime. Also I noticed that the 4 Kilo drum of Prime Safe cost $73 only treats 50,000 gallons, while for the same price ($73) on Amazon you can buy a 4 liter (1 gallon) bottle of Pond Prime and it treats 80,000 gallons of water.

NO! My bad. Taking a closer look at the 4 kilo drum label it actually says that 250 grams treats 50,000 gallons, and since 4 kilos contain 4000 grams, it appears that 4 kilo drum for $73 will actually treat 800,000! :eek3::shocked::footinmouth::jaw-dropping:
Dang I got to cancel my Pond Prime order..
