If my dalmation balloon molly had 4 babies, will they all also be dalmation colored?

I just wondered if I can be anticipating some variety or if they're all gonna look just like momma.

Depends on what the dad is. If she was pregnant when you got her there's no telling.

Yep she was, lol. I remember there being (balloon mollys) a white one, and an orange and white one. I also know there were several plain black (non balloon) mollys. Can I count on them being balloon at least?

To figure out the chances of the fry being a certain color or type you need to set up a punnett square, but you need to know what color the mother and father is and whether the trait displays complete or partial dominance and whether the mother or father is heterozygous. There may be other factors that come into play as well.

The punnett square is interesting. I wish I knew who the father was. Guess all the babies will be a surprise. =)

I got a couple black balloon mollies from the LFS when I had just started in the hobby, and they had all white babies =/

It's like an episode of Jerry Springer!
