just picked up a new bottle of calcium pills to be crushed up and added to snail jello recipe. the last bottle i had contained vitamin D along with the calcium and i was told this was not the best for my briggs. i'm going to list all the ingredients on the new bottle and if you could please tell me if anything listed is going to be harmful, thanks!
front label of the bottle says: Calcium Carbonate, 500 mg. no preservatives, no artificial flavour, no gluten or yeast, no sugar, lactose free.
here is the information from the bottle:
Each caplet containss: 1250 mg of Calcium Carbonate (from oyster shell), providing 500 mg (25 mEq) of elemental Calcium.
Non-medicinal ingredients: (in descending order): Microcrystalline Cellulose, Sodium Starch Glycolate, Monoester of Propylene Glycol and Glycerol, Magnesium Stearate, Crospovidone, Stearic Acid, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Partially Hydrolyzed Polyvinyl Alchohol, Talc, Titanium Dioxyde, Polyethylene Glycol, Soya Lecithin, D&C Yellow No. 6 Aluminium Lake and Carnauba Wax.
also, is there any such thing as a snail getting too much calcium? i tend to put a lot in my snello, lol.
