couldnt find any saltwater species granted I rushed since I got to get ready for work so im throwing a wild guess here with Ambystoma granulosum

It hasn't been guessed correctly yet. This is an exclusively Mexican species.

Weirder still. Here's another hint: it lives in saltwater.

Not calling you a liar but I've never heard of any amphibian species able to "live" in SW long term. The only species that I know that can "tolerate" SW is the Crab-Eating Frog, Fejervarya cancrivora.

I'm very interested to know what the heck species you picked!
