Th survivor man Show with the canaidian is sooo much better, this guy just does stuff like that, and has a film crew, Les stroud films everything while surviving.
 
I like Man Vs Wild better than Survivor Man from an entertainment perspective although they're both interesting.

I think Bear Gryllis does things sometimes just to make a scene or for entertainment purpose that would be utterly stupid for someone to do if they were REALLY in his position. I also think he is rather less practical in his approach than the Survivor Man show.
 
Bear Gryllz is a joke. He fakes his clips and works with a whole camera crew. He kills animals needlessly knowing full well his crew will feed him and he can go sleep in his hotel as soon as the cameras go off. Les Stroud, the survivorman is basically out in the woods by himself, stranded without necessary supplies and still only kills when he has to in order to eat. There's no comparing the two. Bear's survival tactis will get you killed before they save you. I didn't realize rappelling down slippery vertical surfaces for no reason was conducive to surving or being rescued...

I do agree, but still... Les stroud is more for actually SURVIVING.
Gryllz is just a one man fear factor TV show.
