I am in the process of purchasing everything I need to set up a tank that I just got. I want to plant it rather heavily using DIY CO2 that will be diffused through a canister filter. In the humble opinions of AC which lighting system gives you the most bang for the buck Odyssea or Jebo? Also have I read somewhere that the Jebo's have been known to start fires or am I imagining things? :)
P.S. The tank is 36" in length.

I thought so too...

Since they run on separate swtiches you could easily run only one of the two bulbs for only 2 wpg or three of the four for a little more. Depends on how far up you want to go eventually and unless they come with the bulbs, pricing for those.

diy co2 on that size tank with good t5 3wpg is risky... If you dont plan on upgrading to pressurized then just stick with 1.6-2wpg. That being said go for nova extreme slr.

But if you cant find a good t5 strip for your tank then next step would be to either make your own t5 light or go for ahsupply
^^^^x2. 3-4wpg with no co2 is very risky business.
