Am i sick because of my chameleons?

i woke up this morning feeling very hot & cold and i took my temp and it was 100.4. wow i know i dont feel very good but then i was thinking "could it be my chameleons?" but it also could be the sun yesterday me and my uncle took a 3 mile walk on the beach trying to find sand to skim board and i didnt get to burnt but when i got home i felt the same way but not as much. so i really need help here i have a temp of 100.4 and its either my chameleons or from the sun, oh and my chameleons are like 1 foot away from where i sleep right next to my bed....could it be salmonella? if it is the chameleons should i move the cage farther away.

I don't think 100.4 fever is all that bad...

and i doubt its from the reptiles, could just be getting sick?

yea, you were in the sun too long. I've had reptiles for 20 some years and never got sick from them.

probably dehydration....how much water did you drink yesterday?
also, i would direct your question to a medical professional, your health provider, a RN, webmd or any other sort of professional resource that is not dedicated to fish.

thank you coach_z ( your suggetion sounds like it would be a good idea), but i think i'll be fine hearing all of your answers really helped me out. and i yesterday in total the only thing i had at the beach ( and we were the for a very long time) was 1 liter of water, actually probably less, and i noticed that i felt the same way but not as bad at the beach. but i think it is just a heat stroke. also do you think i should move my chameleons somewher else in my room?

Salmonella generally comes from carrion eaters. I am pretty sure that chameleons are not carrion eaters, and I highly doubt that they are causing you any sickness.

Same here. Just clean up after you handle or work around your reptiles and always wash your hands good.

It can also thrive under moist conditions. That's why it was always a fear when RES became popular pets. But most people forget you can also get it from other pets such as birds and fish.
