The dwarf Crays are fantastic!

My 4 Crays doing great... grown no end the last few weeks... ... All seem to have adapted well. They recognise my face and climb the plants waiting for food whenever I lift the lid on the tank. Funny watching them wave their claws around trying to catch flakes or freeze dried blood worms.

They're leaving the breeder net and joining the community this weekend after I do my partial water changes...

Fantastic little critters- I highly recommend them to anyone with a peacefull community tank.

Here's a pic of the Dwarf Crays:

Adult Size: 1 1/2"
Water temperature: 60 to 82°F (breed faster in warmer water)
Water parameters: pH 6.0 to 8.0
Life Span: Avg 2-3 years
Origin: Southern USA
Does NOT eat plants.

They are somewhat peaceful. I keep them with Red Chery Shrimp and Community Fish with no casualties on either part. They usually just back away from anything that comes near them. I have seen one chase a full grown killi away so it could steal the food lol.
Breeding can happen as early as 1" in size.

How are the crays with fish? Are they nippy?

They usually just back away from them. They don't directly attack anything. Won't even bother a snail as long as the snail is healthy.

I may be in contact with you about 2 or 3 in the next few weeks if you have any left then. Just gotta get my cories in the tank first and make sure they are settled in.

Sounds good. Just send me a PM. :dance2:

Here are some pics of the Blue/Black Mystery Shrimp. We're pretty sure they're Caridina sp.
