Lab juvies pre sale

Here are some some pics of my juvies before they were sold (around 2", roughly 4 months old), I stripped the female about 3 weeks ago with another batch and she's holding again :):

They look very nice!

I am looking to add some females to my existing group and improve their genetics (as they are TR). What generation are your lab fry (F1, F2 or TR)?

I have no clue, the parents of my trio could've been f2's, the breeder did mention something but I didn't pay much attention, either way I'd only call them tr's, since the lineage is kinda unknown, at least to me.

But good idea on getting them from different sources.

very nice looking labs...i currently have about 15 lab fry in my 120g along with 15-20 red zebra fry...they are currently around 1"...i want to sell them when they get around 2"...i haven't explored ways to sell fish online...i normally donate or sell them dead cheap to the LFS...anyidea where i could get some decent price for labs and zebras?

Craigslist would probably be the fastest, I sold these pretty cheap (needed to move them fast, to make room for others). Trade post here, also a good one on cichlid-forum, fish/cichlid sites or fish clubs in your area, just post them for a local pick up if you don't feel comfortable shipping.

Develop a good relationship with one or two LFS and you can sell a bunch of yellow lab fry each month. I have a LFS that buys all my lab fry (between 40 to 60 every two/three months). He would like me to provide 60 every two months so I am looking to get a few more females. And that is just one LFS :22_yikes:. Of course, I sell them cheap, but the numbers make up for it. Yellow labs are just a cheaper fish - you can make it up in quantity.

If you want to sell more expensive fish (ie. Frontosa) - I can get you started down that path :naughty:

It'll cost you more money than labs though ;)

how much for the frontosa?
