PETA Billboard Outrage: Fat Women = Beached Whales

The findings? “People who ate the most animal-based foods got the most chronic disease … People who ate the most plant-based foods were the healthiest and tended to avoid chronic disease. These results could not be ignored,” said Dr. Campbell.

notice that it does not say people who ate exlusively a plant based diet. There is a huge difference between that extreme and those who eat more meat than average. What's wrong with being towards the middle? Nothing.

the bizarro.com video did not load for me (not sure why) but I checked out the rest of the site and was just weirded out...

I can't comment on B12 defficiency as I am not knowledgable on the human anatomy...

the bizzaro video was complete misinformation, you didn't miss any thing.

to each their own.

You should not have to justify if your Vegan, vegetarian ,Omnivorous or a meat eater(tho very few mammals can sustain on a meat only diet).

It's a choice in most cases.

I also prefer not to be told my diet is bad for me and someone else's diet is better for me.
it's no different than someone trying to ram their religious choice down my throat.
;)
everybody is different we digest and assimilate and react to food differently.

IMO, books written by vega/vegetarians are no different in my mind that a book written by the American Beef association.

they will be slanted towards that particular promotion.

I watched that bizzaro video and that had to be the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen. It is complete speculation and has no true facts to support it's claims. Having molars is not an indication that humans are herbivores. Having the combination of molars and eye teeth is an indication of humans being omnivores. It also implies that rapid defecation means you're a carnivore. That would seem to imply a rapid metabolism. The two are totally different. A baby eats an apple and not a rabbit so we are vegans? Absurd!!!
This is not an attack by any means on those who wish to be vegetarians, just on the video. This isn't headline news, but in general balanced diet + exercise + moderation = health. This of course excludes any existing medical condition that prevents this from occurring. People should be allowed to have whatever diet they choose without condemnation from society and whatever results come of this are their own doing. And to get back to the topic of the thread: PETA is CRAZZZZZZY!!!

Care to explain?

Ask your dentist how many Canines you have, and if it's more, less, or the same as how many your dog, wild wolves, lions, tigers, bears have. The answer is: The same, 4.

That's just their first point. The whole thing is misleading bunk.

Our canines are so small the only thing they're really useful for is biting into things like apples or carrots. Look at the skulls through out human evolution. Atleast from the skulls I've seen: the farther back in time, the bigger the canines. That could show carniverous/mainly omniverous ancestors evolving to a vegetarian diet.
