Anyone have an Axolotl?

Would a 50 gallon hexagon tank be large enough for an axolotl?

I love axolotls! Another good reference for their care is http://www.caudata.org. I don't have any of my own, but if I had the space for more tanks, you bet I'd have them. Sometimes we drive all the way down to the zoo in road island just to see them and the tortoises.

Large enough yes, but also much too tall. They are not the greatest swimmers and are not used to super deep water. They do take mouthfulls of air and need to able to easily reach the surface.

My tank is a 30 gallon filled to 80% capacity.
