If I could afford to live on my own again and could still afford one, I'd have a nice cruiser. I love them and have always wanted to own one, but things are tight right now. The girlfriend and I are more worried about being able to afford to start a life together, and that takes priority over getting a new toy.
I wouldn't even want to get anything crazy. I'd be happy with a 900 vulcan or a harley sportster. I just want to be out on the open road, that's the important part.
I ride a F800ST, I've also ridden a shadow 600, a boulevard 800, and my wife's ninja 250. Like I said, my wife rides a ninja 250, but she wants a cbr 600 or a gxsr 600 or 750.
I spent many a day racing my VFR750 decades ago. Those were some good times. Then got married (which was still OK as my wife took an interest in the sport became a pit helper) but then came the kids. Still an OK trade off but I am itching to get on 2 wheels agian. My bike would be a Ducati for solo and a Goldwing for touring. I really believe you need both!
i use to ride a roadstar but it died after 100k
this year I picked up a Harley Davidson Roadking custom. 04 Black with less than 7500.. all upgrades including screaming eagle stage 1(88 c i -95ci)
I have been riding since 1980 and have logged somewhere in the neighborhood of 300,000 miles.
you could say i love to ride.
the blue bike is my spousal units Suzuki Volusia(800)
