Ever have a nightmare about your fish?

I dreamt all my fish were swimming in the air around me - the idea they were out of water & all around me freaked me out! I thought I left the hood/canopy off & they all jumped out & now were all going to croak because of my mistake!

Strange thing - no water around - they were just swimming in air (or is it flying?! yeah yeah that's the ticket! flying fish! yeah! yeah! that's the ticket!)

I've had the same exact dream at least twice. I wonder if it's their astral bodies swimming around. It is the weirdest dream too! They almost appear to be much larger as well.

I've had a couple of nightmares regarding glass breaking or poor water quality causing disease. Almost kind of like procrastinating a water change "yeah yeah, I'll get to it asap..." yet I never do.

It's very strange to me that so many of us have had this same exact dream. kinda spooky!!

I haven't, but my husband has had the fish-swimming-in-the-air dream.

I like the astral bodies theory! :)

About six years ago, I had some pet mice, and I used to have a recurring dream where I'd suddenly remember "OMG! I haven't fed the mice in WEEKS!" I'd run to their cage, feeling horrible that they'd been in there starving, waiting for their food. But they were always alive, so then I'd give them some food, and that was the end of the dream. Even these days, I occasionally still have this dream.
So, clearly, I thought to myself when the dream first started, I have some anxiety related to the fact that these mice are totally dependent on me and can't get out of their cages to fend for themselves, should they ever be abandoned. So, I decided that in the future I wouldn't have pets that had to be in cages. HAH! And now I have fish tanks! I have all kinds of dreams related to me worrying over the fish :screwy:

Wasnt really a nightmare but it did suprise me, in the dream, i was staring at the tank trying to find my 3 BNplecos who seemed to have vanish, then out of nowhere a hundred BNplecos swam out of my filter intake and scared the crap out of me.

Almost every night I have a fishy dream believe it or not. Most of the time it is about finding some cool hidden lfs that has weird fish I have never herd of.

I often dream about tanks rupturing, and having to rescue the fish from the floor.

Actually at my LFS this week, a bag sitting on the floor fell over, and there all these poor goldfish flopng around on the floor; it was like a flashback (except I don't have goldies).

I've had a few dreams like that over the years.

I have a re-occurring dream about going on vacation and coming home months later realizing no one has feed my fish. There are always fish alive in the tanks, but they are not my fish.
I have the same dream about hamsters, which is really weird, because I have not owned a hamster in 25 years.

Maybe I have shared too much.

Thank YOU for this thread!
