How do you get your pre-mixed water to the tank for WC'es?

Here is my thinking. Having a container with the pre-mixed water. Have a pump running 24/7 to keep the water aerated. Then when it's water change time, slip some tubing onto the pump outlet and pump straight into the tank. Is this the norm? I want to avoid picking up a bucket and dumping into the tank.

Well, I don't have a SW tank, but I do have a BW tank, and what you described is actually exactly what I do :) I bought a 397 GPH return pump for the purpose, it has a max height of something like 5 feet and my tank rim is lower than that and it works great. I actually use an airstone too to make sure it is well aerated, and count on the current from the pump to make sure everything is mixed. I use a 30 gallon storage container.

How would this pump work? Im tired of using buckets... my arms hurt >.<
I use buckets. I premake water about 24 hrs in advance.. about 30-60 gallons and then do the change... >.<

Cool, thanks for the info. I have a spare Rena pump laying around that I can use for aeration.

As for the holding container, do you mix large batches, enough for multiple changes, or just 1 at a time? Is it ok to mix enough for several changes?

IMO I wouldnt mix for multiple changes... I usually have enough water for a w/c plus maybe enough for half a w/c... in case of emergency

I do just one change at a time, 24 hours in advance. I know some people do used "aged" water, but I really do not know what the timeline there is.

Hook clear vinyl hose to pump nozzle
drop pump in tub
put other end of hose in tank
plug pump in, lol

I have a LONG vinyl hose that reaches all over the house, and I use that to fill the tub. I just plop the tub in front of what ever tank I am doing the change in, fill it up, Prime it, and do my water change. The BW tank is the only one that I have to mix salt in for, my other 21 tanks are FW, lol. I pump the old tank water directly from the tank out into the yard.

That is exactly what I do! I mix the salt water a day ahead of time then pump it in. I stay with a 5 gallon bucket so it is still possible to move it around, but my tank is only a 46 gal.
