Im looking into some natural gravel as a choice for the substrate in my 240g tank that i want to plant. I was wondering what type of experience people have had with it/ and live plants. i love the way it looks and it happens to be pretty cheap where i live. Any pics/ experience that people have had planting with it would be much appreciated:goldfish:

Well, here are some old pics of one of my tanks from 2001-02. The quality of the pics is pretty bad, but you get the idea.
This was a mixture of natural gravel and flourite. (about 1/3 flourite) 2-4" deep.

all of those pics were beautiful. You all are great at what you do. thanks for the pics

i've had natural gravel but the stones were a medium size. i loved the look but it was a pain planting. if the plants didnt have a decent root structure they would float away quite a bit.

but it did look good

nice pics guys, sounds like it will def work with the plants, but i should shoot for some of the smallest sized gravel that i can find?
