:omg: Breathtaking thread. Now whatever happened to that anemone?

Ta :) its still in there, bigger than ever. The creatures in the water know how to avoid it, but it still eats the odd shore crab, but thats alright because they need their numbers thinning out as they grow..

i know great stuff doesnt compare to boat foam but do you think your coating proccess would work for it?

I'm sure it would. I think that they are both urethane foam..
I also used the method on polystyrene and it worked as well. but polystyrene is much harder to carve.
you could try Polyiso foam board insulation or polyurethane foam board insulation?

Its strangely beautiful, plus the tank wouldn't be the same without its menacing presence...
