Maybe I don't understand the question?

I was just left wondering if the girl is contemplative, sad, angry, etc. In that way--it is something like the Mona Lisa (AKA, La Gioconda.)

TA

looks like taken from a cheap christian jewllery catalogue . . . . there is just too much focus on the cross . . . so unless you're selling crosses, you're not guiding the viewer towards the feeling that the shot intends to relay.

sorry if it sounds mean :)

:iagree:
she looks like she is grieving. the picture reminded me of how i felt in the anger stage of grief after i lost someone close to me.

The focus, Is suppost to be about her and the cross, there does come a time in grief when some ppl. do wonder if anything exsists. or why me...whatever. I was trying to portray these thoughts, of pleading and wonder and of sadness.

I softened the picture to add to the mood, saddness to me, would make things hazey ina sence.

Thanks for your honesty. Would like to hear some more comments.

did you take the picture???? if so i would suggest on a next attempt to change the composition of the shot. move the hand and cross further back on the head...by/behind her ear...and then lower the hand towards her chin. leave the 'blank space' in the shot...

if you didnt take the shot and are simply manipulating the shot i think it looks nice but you might want to invert the shadows or change/eliminate the one on her nose...looks funny to me.

i think the hand on the head (in person) signifies what beabroca was going for. i do, however, agree that it's distracting of the purpose in the picture.

i did take the shot...kriss is coming over tonight, and i will redo this and try to do some different angles.
