Aw! I love calico goldfish. That being said I no longer have mine. I named mine Calico. I mean it WAS the best fitting name!

He's such a beauty.:) So what else are in the 29g currently?
nothing. i took the common pleco out. i was wondering if i could get him a friend tomorrow? and i was gonna add a chinese algae eater too. too much?

went to petsmart and bought a plant pack. the tank looks amazing!! i love it!! they are silk plants, not plastic :) more pics soon

I'd quarantine the next goldfish you get. If you cannot get a tank, a spare tub or bucket will do it. Get a sponge filter and heater. That's all you need to quarantine the goldfish for at least 2-4 weeks.

Chinese algae eaters are aggressive and can suck slime coats as they mature. I'd avoid them completely. You do not need algae eaters in your tank.

Your own goldfish will be at risk of falling sick if you introduce new fish that have not been quarantined and are potential disease carriers.

oh i figured since i would only be getting them a day apart and they are from the same store, it'd be ok?

I would advise against cross-contaminating fish from different sources. Your own goldfish right now may not be sick at all so contaminating it with sick orandas will not help matters. Watch out for anchorworms, fish lice, ich and flukes.
