I need to accurately decribe the differences between tropical, temperate, and polar thermoclines. Also what the productivity of each zone is.

Here is what I have so far let me know if it needs even more polishing or if I am missing something.

Tropical thermocline occurs in deeper water and because of density differences nutrient rich water is trapped in the deeper colde water so it has low productivity.

Temperate thermocline is seasonal and it is a productive thermocline.

Polar thermocline is seasonal and is productive in seasons when the ice has melted.

Please help me fix this if it is inccorect.

Again, what you are saying isn't necessarily incorrect, but incomplete. Thermoclines in the tropics are mostly permanent and pronounced. Temperate regions are usually seasonal, occurring in the warmer months. Polar thermoclines almost don't exist at all. If they do, it is slight. Highest productivity occurs in temperate regions, as the water is able to readily mix from the depths, with the opposite occurring in tropical regions, since that permanent thermocline doesn't allow for much mixing. Polar regions are limited by sunlight and have the lowest productivity. Of course, currents play a role, but as far as thermoclines are concerned, that is the gist of it.

I am not sure because I have to wait until after the next test before I get them back.

He takes a long to time to grade assignments.

I will let you know when I get it back!
