I have a pleco, in a 125 gal tank, which doesn't grow at all or very little. It's about 19 months old. He lives with another 16 angels and rainbowfish which were also very young 24 months ago but, these last have grown considerably.

I feed the tank regular fish food and 1-1/2 algae discs which go to the bottom intended for the pleco but, the other fish eat what floats and when they finish with that, the angels go to the bottom and eat the pleco's food too.

Has anyone deviced a way to make sure the pleco eats? I don't have very much algae in my planted tank.

Are you sure of what type of pleco you have? Do you have any pics?

you could try anchoring some zucchini or romaine lettuce down at the bottom. They love that stuff.

If he/she is an albino BN, they are not to big plecos.

The albino bristle nose plecos don't get very large and they grow slowly.

Definitely sounds like you've got a female albino bristlenose pleco. Does it look like this only without the bristles?
