i'm a noob here on AC but i wanted to post some pics of my setup. it's a 125 with only 6 discus in there currently (when this pic was taken i still had 7, sold 1), some dither fish, 2 BNP, cory's and some shrimp. 2 xp3's, 2 hydor inlines and looking to upgrade to co2 setup with rex style reactor. here are the pics (sorry not the best). this tank doesn't really look like this anymore since my plants aren't thriving, hence the co2 in future idea
the 125 has two river rock walls to house the eco-complete and plants. the foreground is BB for easy clean up

The rock walls are genius and look cool too.What is your lighting? Your plants all look low light.Improving your lighting may help and it may be cheaper than CO2.
thank you, the rock wall took quite a while to make and it achieved my ultimate purpose which was to separate the eco complete from the front of the tank. i have a couple of pigeon-based red melons which would pepper if i had all eco complete as substrate. as far as lighting goes i have 2 JBJ fixtures with 4x 21" 6500K 65w bulbs. they are all indeed low light because i did not want to start with any difficult plants. obviously even the less difficult plants turned out not doing well for me. i guess i have a brown thumb, lol. people were telling me that i have too much light and i would need the co2. i'm in the research stage of that plan. i would love to have some nice planted tanks like the ones i see around here.
LoL - and ALL of that java moss came from a teeny little bit that came with cherry shrimp that I bought from Jinkz (i think) like... a year ago?? It's gone crazy! There's actually a sunken ship decoration under that big pile on the right hand side of the tank... Haven't seen that in months!
thank you very much. those discus were some of my first discus, the ones i have in QT i believe are much nicer but it is a BB tank with only sponge filters/heater/HOB, nothing great to look at, besides the discus of course. here's a quick pic of 2 of my grade A red turks:

So do you have 8 bulbs all together,or 4?Are they compact fluorescents?
