Mafia 58-

So DD, was I supposed to say "that's weird Dawg, if I were you I would have gone after me" and then risk other people potentially thinking the same thing and voting for me because of it? :screwy:

And Dawg is more obvious, and I am next...but then you vote me? LOL. Way to be consistent DD.
sorry, I totally meant to vote Dawg and I will now because I still think he is a communicating mafia, there's really not too much doubt in my mind.
I vote to lynch Dawg despite the numbers in the rules.
DD...in cased you missed it.

15 players, minus the hobo.
7 mafia (3 communicating, 4 non communicating)
7 innocent (3 communicating, 4 non communicating)
thanks Paps... I still believe Dawg is the communicating mafia, and perhaps you are leading off of him.... and quite well, you may have sensed it too..... so could you be one of the noncvommunicators?

but there could be a clue (or a deflection) of which side they are on.....Remains confusing, but interesting none the less.

Yeah.. we have to still look at all possibilities. Much as I wish we didn't. These things are more likely to confuse us more or misdirect us than anything else, I think. Even so...

One Journalist's Descent into the Seedy Underworld

This one sounds like they're getting read to tell us a story... this one "sounds" pro-town... maybe with this and subsequent headlines, we'll be able to tell which headline comes from the same writer next time by context... like, if it sounds again like it comes from a reporter who's gone under cover for us.

Kash, your pretty good at understanding the headlines, and pretty sure they mean nothing. Are you one of them?...
hmmm.....
Wood was a idiot, useless player.

No Red, I'm not. But when I was the journalist in Wycco's game, it was the first time I didn't screw up a power role by getting myself killed off right away. So I really like the role a lot and I learned a lot having been in this role myself before.

Then in the game following that, us townfolk read way too much into the headlines Wycco was writing when he was the journalist. So we almost ruined our own game trying to decipher clues that weren't even there.

Whoever writes these needs to be as clear and direct as possible. It's a method to convey anonymous info to everyone... not a game to make these headlines into cutsey riddles which might be misunderstood.

Well I could be way off but I'm guessing based on Ice's comments before night and the content of the second headline that Wood may have been the mafia investigator. If I'm right that's more good news for the Town.

That makes a lot of sense Dawg. That explains why Ice had to amend the roles.. he saw Wood was going to UD.

I don't get how the content of this one sounds like it came from Woody though. What am I missing here?

Not a bad nightfall all in all. Hopefully back with more after work...

I'm not sure I buy the second headline being from Wood. The newspaper headline is the last thing on the list... so does the headline get printed if the journalist dies?

On the other hand, it really does seem more like something Ice would write than wood, so maybe it is ABOUT wood rather than BY wood. I don't know if Ice would do that.
