Mafia 58-

<snip>

I decided to go ahead with my suspicion as it stands now and cast my vote on Jpappy. And I've posted all I could to explain this possible connection for everyone else to review and pick apart. Mind you, I am more interested in hearing what other players think of these possiblities besides the ones who appear to be working together in their efforts to protect Woody, lynch Gunslinger, protect Annie, and cast suspicions toward Rich, DD, and MC.

Oh lordy Kash...

Your theory is off base and you cannot even answer the rebuttals I have presented.

I think this tally is correct so far.

Day 2.

Dawg - 1 - DD(181)
Rich - 2 - TRS (194) Jbradt(200)
DD - 2 - Jpappy(195) Dawg(204)
Zsand - 1 - Zaffy(196)
Jpappy - 1 - Kash(216)

No votes from:
Ogre, Rich, Noodles, Zsand, Annie, MC

Kash, here are all my posts in response to Wood or what he was doing...

<snipped>

Can you please tell me why, after all of this, I would move my vote in an attempt to save him?

Pappy.. I've been through all your posts many times since last night. And yes, I think it's easy to explain. You were probably looking at Woodward the same way I was... throughout most of that day. We could easily see he was stirring everyone up on purpose. We saw he was drawing votes upon himself for being real stupid in the thread. It took me a long time trying to decide whether the guy was more likely evil/stupid or more likely innocent/stupid. But since he's dead now, we know he was evil (and non-communicating at that).

This means you had to have gone through much a similar thought process yourself - that I did - trying to decide which team you thought Woody was playing for (so badly). And it seems both you and I came to the same conclusion, eventually... that Woody had to be mafia not innocent. At that point, I wanted to hold his feet to the fire long enough to be sure Ice would kill him off before he could vote and save himself. So I voted him. You, on the other hand, opted to let him go as a foregone conclusion to pursue other suspects instead. So you (and others) retracted him.

In hindsight now, that's what raised the question of your true motives in my mind. If you're innocent, maybe you really believed it wasn't worth keeping pressure on him anymore. But if you're mafia (communicating or non), then you didn't know his role from the start and maybe it dawned on you that the idiot newb in all this hot water was possibly one of your non-communicating teammates. That would explain another (real) reason you may have had for dropping him and going after someone else to get lynched instead (Gunslinger)... just in case.

No, actually I've been right here answering all the rebuttals I've seen from you, Dawg, and Zaffy... so far. I imagine I'll go through this a bit more once Annie shows up to start posting about this too.

What haven't I answered for you? Point it out and I'll be happy to address whatever you think I've overlooked.

So I say, publicly, that I think Wood is mafia, vote him, and retract my vote to draw attention away from someone I think might possibly be my teammate (along with the rest of my team) hoping that no one will be the wiser? Except you of course, because you kept your vote on him. We now know it was a forgone conclusion. 1) He had no vote at the time 2) Even if he did vote he was as good as dead the next day 3) Ice would have killed him no matter what. Maybe you could consider it hasty for people to retract but given the circumstances I was not going to wait around all night just in case Wood showed up and I certainly wasn't going to let my vote go to waste (like yours).

Seriously Kash, you are way off base. Based on numbers I suppose you could consider one or two of the people who fit your criteria to be mafia, but you insinuate that all of us are in it together...with special attention on me because I stuck my foot out and actually had someone lynched. Sorry if you wanted to keep the hobo role around.

And by reading that that last paragraph basically your conclusion is that if "this" happened I am mafia and if "that" happened, I am innocent. Thanks for clearing that up...

You've said that I protected Annie by voting Gun.

If this came from anyone else I might feel threatened :raspberry:

I can't tell if his vote is serious or not. All of them up to that point were joke-votes as far as I know. Sarcasm gets lost online...

Another thing interesting. Annie popped in with a vote and nothing else to say. No wise-cracking...nothing. Very unlike him.

Annie: the fact that both you and gun voted and split w/o saying anything else. There's no rule about having to vote in your first post, so it's scummy. I like my vote on wood, but both you and Gun are still on my list.

Wood: Thanks for dodging the entire gist of my post. Anyways, it's not that posts-within-a-post are hard to understand but when you quote them, they don't show up as such.

It's certainly not a full blown case, but why would I bring attention to a teammate, twice?

Again, I really didn't have a strong feeling either way about Annie or Gun because they were both were suspicious for the exact same reason. I picked Gun randomly.

I do not know what voting on or not voting on Woody proves. He made that ridiculous, I was having fun I will Ud long before night fall. No one but Woody knew for sure what he was. If he was not killed off for that we would have had a massive argument over it and chances are good the game would have come apart.

I am sorry I did not react enough to his calling me and Noodles out in that weird way but it was baseless and made little sense. He never clarified.

He then wrapped everyone up for the rest of the day. I do not see voting him as a key factor. I think Pap and kashta are both doing a good job for the town right now, even if they disagree.

I am leaning Dawg or Annie right now, no great reasons why. Dawg seems to be stirring and not helping and Annie is kind of quiet and he always worries me.

Oh come on, Jpappy. If you and Annie are on the same communicating team together you'd bring lukewarm suspicion against him because you have to... mafia players acting toward the same goal have to distance themselves from each other somehow, hoping the rest of us won't catch onto the fact that you're actually working together.

That's why you have to make your voting with Zaffy to kill Gunslinger out to be merely a random guess. If your real motivation in breaking that tie was to save your teammate Annie from a possible coin toss, you can't admit that to us.

That possibility is also why you have to still carry Annie at the bottom of your suspect list. So none of the rest of us will suspect you killed Gun to save Annie... on purpose. And that's what it seems you're still doing in this post from earlier today. Here you list DD, Rich, and MC as the real players you'd like to see hang. And you have to still include Annie at the bottom for distancing purposes.

Based on this my new suspect list is:

DD
Rich
MC
Annie- because of day 1 still.

So let's forget Woodward for a moment and look at who you're going after now. According to the vote tally Zaffy posted for us, both you and Dawg are currently voting DD.

If your vote yesterday for Gunslinger was only slightly more appealing to you than voting Annie for lynching... why aren't you voting Annie today over DD?

Dawg, before you try accusing me of hiding my vote on a dead player, let's first remind everyone that your vote landed all by itself as a single lone vote on Zsand.

Right...and as I stated when I voted he seemed as suspect if not more suspect than Gun and Annie to me. Mostly because he had done basically the same thing as the other two yet no one else was talking about him. Your vote stayed on Wood even when it was a foregone conclusion that he would be dead at nightfall.

That would also be a real safe place for you to hide your useless vote after dropping Wood and to avoid joining your teammates already voting to lynch Gun and protect Annie.

Anyone in this game can twist your vote or mine to make it appear scummy if they want to. That's why I'm looking at a number of different actions taken by different players to discuss whether it's reasonable to conclude they are connected.

Yes I voted Woodward long enough to make sure he was removed from the game because I was convinced he had to be mafia. If that seems scummy to you, then vote me.

I was convinced he was mafia which is why I voted for him in the first place. You waited until he said he was going to UD then you decided to vote for him. If you were so convinced he was mafia why did you wait until he said he was going to UD to vote for him?

If you were so convinced he was mafia why did you post this?

It took me a long time trying to decide whether the guy was more likely evil/stupid or more likely innocent/stupid.

It doesn't sound like you were convinced to me Kash.

You still haven't answered this question...

As far as your other comments about a supposed "mafia team"...is it typical for mafia to follow each other openly in posts and have a similar voting record in order to hide their allegiances or is it easier for mafia to hide by being all over the map? If you believe the first part is a better strategy then you should vote for Noods and Rich right now because Wood said they were backing him up ;)
