any new pics pete? gawd i cant wait to see this tank filled.

ummm bushwhacker help..LOL

I was fitting all the pieces. Now, I'm gluing and screwing it all together. As he said, there never was a pond liner in it.

Umm, Zigman, I already know what I'm doing with it and none of that is it. :P It's screwed together with 3" deck screws and glued with Liquid Nails Heavy Duty construction adhesive. 3/4" Marine grade/exterior plywood will sheath the inside. All seams will be glued with LNHD construction adhesive then sanded of any residue inside the tank. Dow 795 will provide the seal on the 50x99x2" cell cast acrylic window on 3 sides. A frame sorta like the back of a picture frame with a hole cut in it will hold the acrylic in place and provide another sealing surface. The interior coating will be Pond Coat liquid rubber.

Umm, bushwhacker.:help2::barf:

pete if i was anywhere near you i'd be there in a minute. i'm a 53 year old carpenter cabinet maker with 30 years in the trade. i would love to be in on that build

It doesn't really look that much different than that pics from when I completed fitting the walls. I'll see about taking some new ones to bring everyone up to date though.

bushwhacker, from a carpenters point of view how strong do you think this really is? I'm a good 250 and I can hang off the walls and not hear a creak at all.

Here's the latest all glued and screwed together. You will see on the wall by the french doors that I made a change and have the boards going all the way to the front. I went ahead and used boards I already had cut, so that's why there's a few gaps over there. Nothing that will matter in any way though. You can see the spacing issue I'm dealing with on the front with the 2x6s and 1x6 (there's a piece of 1x10 in place, but you get the idea). I many need a piece of 1/8"-1/4" material between them to snug up the spacing.

See the nice empty areas in the laundry room where the wood pieces were stacked :P
