Hi, my name is Justin. I LOVE fish! I went snorkling for the first time this year and that really increased my infatuation. I am going to buy the 6 gallon fluval edge. I have a lot to learn and I am trying to do as much research before just jumping right in. I need to learn how to properly clean it. Cant find any videos on it for that particular kind of tank. :( Starting out with freshwater. I plan on getting two albino frogs or something similar, 3 or 4 of those neon colored small community fish and a pleco. Hopefully that isn't a combination for disaster. Going to use black sand, black river rocks, and some live plants. Any advice would be appreciated.
 
No pleco. Even the smallest ones I can think of will be much too large for a small tank like that. And the frogs will more than likely eat those neons. They LOVE to shovel things in their mouth.

I heard the zebra plecos remain small, but expensive. So the african dwarf frogs wouldnt go good with guppys or neon tetras?
 
Dwarf frogd I would think would be ok, but no pleco is going to stay healthy and small enough for that tank.... maybe a trio of otos... almost the same thing...

Even the Zebras are too big. If you have frogs that won't save very much space for neons. If you haven't already purchased the tank I would look into a bigger tank like a 10 or 15 gallon so that you can get the affect you are looking for.

Welcome! The neon tetras would probably take all the food from the frogs (theyre very slow) but a ten gallon with neons and oto cats would be good!
