Scarlet badis / Dario dario - Does anyone have any?

I had to LOL in real life when I saw those 2 pictures death pony. :lipssealedsmilie:

Also anubias leaves are in my opinion the BEST when feeding dario dario live microworms. Its curved enough like a bowl and the darios go crazy to snatch up the worms. Plus it catches the MW so they don't fall straight into the substrate.

That's a great thing to know. Thanks for the info.

Hey guys, I remembered you guys looking for female Dario Dario. I looked around online, and it seems this guy breeds them? He might have some females.

Here's the link. http://invertzfactory.com/stocklist.htm

I just randomly found this, so I have absolutely no idea what the stocks like. Just thought it might help.

Oh yeah, that guy does have females! Thanks for posting the link. I'll have to get in contact with him this summer.

I laughed myself when I saw the alleged female display such intense colors. He was not happy after being oppressed for so long. I feed mine blackworms and frozen bloodworms (looking to get whiteworms soon). They grab them before they hit the substrate 90% of the time. They usually find them later if they miss them the first time. They will solve any planaria problems too, along with any other micro organisms.

They like Java ferns a lot. Anything with lots of overlaps and cover will quickly become a playground for them. My high red male has established his territory under a melon sword, which catches worms quite well too.

Glad I could help. I would buy from him, seeing as he has some nice fish, but I don't like the idea of shipping fish on my watch. My LFS is good about ordering/finding fish for their customers. I can always ask them to see into these little guys.

I definitely plan on getting this decked out for whatever fish I might get. Some floaters, java fern, other background plants, and maybe some sort of clover or grass to blanket the bottom.

if your willing wait till it warms up it's pretty safe to do and i know he shippes things for decent prices. but i've only bought snails and shrimp from him email him to ask for pricing and if he thinks thay would be safe pretty nice guy to deal with.

i like the Killi fish idea i'll be picking up a pair of Fundulopanchax gardneri N'Sukka some time this week

If I were to go the Killifish route, I'm not sure what kind to get. I want something that will contrast against all the plants, but will be small enough for the tank. Any suggestions?

I just got some Norman's lampeyes for my 10 gallon. Very cool fish! I'm not sure if they'd be ok in a 5 gallon, but they're pretty small.

If I remember correctly, they like to be in groups of 5 or more. I might be pushing my bio load on that, though I'm not sure.

I have bought from Niko(inverts) before and emailed him about 2 weeks or ago.... and he doesn't have any females at the moment. But said to keep in touch just in case he snags some. I also emailed franksaquarium, no females yet either and not shipping anything until the winter season is over or gets warmer.

Yeah, figured he didn't have any at the moment, but maybe later this year he'll have some.
