So I been having this problem with clearing my thoat and learned it could be connected to when I have food lodged somewhere in my thorat. I told my dentist a while ago and she said it was food getting stuck into my tonsils. So I googled last night, "food stuck in tonsils". And I found out it wasn't food but was TONSIL STONES. Took me 20 years and finally found out what it was.... it doesn't happen everyday but a rarity maybe hits me once a few months in the year.
I also happened to pop out the one that was bothering me for a few days... its in a bag now lol :silly:.

What causes tonsil stones (tonsilloliths)?
Your tonsils are filled with nooks and crannies where bacteria and other materials, including dead cells and mucous, can become trapped. When this occurs, the debris can become concentrated in white formations that occur in the pockets.
Tonsil stones, or tonsilloliths, are formed when this trapped debris hardens, or calcifies. This tends to occur most often in people who suffer from chronic inflammation in their tonsils or repeated bouts of tonsillitis.
While many people have small tonsilloliths that develop in their tonsils, it is quite rare to have a large and solidified tonsil stone.

Post Nasal Drip People who have their tonsils, AND experience post nasal drip are at least 10 times more likely to have white lumps on the tonsils than the average person without the problem.
This is usually the fancy name given for the accumulation of excess mucous that gathers in the back of the throat (and tonsils). The proteins in mucous are actually a food source for the bacteria responsible for tonsil stones, therefore the more mucous in the back of the throat, the larger the possibility of developing tonsiloliths.
If you feel like you very often have to clear your throat (or have something stuck in the back of your throat), then you are probably dealing with this specific issue.
It can be very difficult to control – many people use antihistamines or other nasal decongestants which only offer temporary relief. It is estimated that 50-60% of the world population must deal with this problem on a semi-regular basis.
The most effective way I’ve found to combat this problem that is one of the ROOT CAUSES of tonsil stones is to rinse/gargle with an oxygenating solution designed to neutralize those sulfur producing anaerobic bacteria.
---- You learn something everyday, even when its gross and disgusting.
