HOW NOT TO SHIP FISH.....

Oh..it will be a bad deal for sure....but after they admit it was their packaging that was the issue...lesson learned....vendors name and email available via PM only....got good feedback on them from others....last time I believe that...

So sorry for your loss, Bob. What a shame. Poor fish. Can you get a refund on the purchase price?

The packaging isn't that bad.

What stands out is you said the styrofoam was melted.

That means something major wrong with the heat pack. Styrofoam will melt at 240 to 250 degrees F. Most heat packs peak out at around 120 degree F.

There is just no way in the world a heat pack should melt styrofoam.

Probably part of the reason for the leak too. But there was still sufficient water the fish should have made it.

If you saved the heat pack and box, I'd suggest contacting the manufacturer, there might be a bad batch out there.

I'd like to know as well Jeff... 2nded on the reshipping fee never being covered, with the vast majority of internet businesses. Sucks Bob, but at least you've got another fish to flush now. I'd give the guy another chance to make it right before passing final judgment.

Ouch, That sucks..Rbishop, Platinum's are like diamonds here. I've been eying one at my LFS but it will cost an arm and a leg for it.

English Second Language Student. I wouldn't take it as racism, just a jab at the writer, who probably just can't speak proper English, along with a big part of the country.

That's crap shipping. In this case, I don't think you should have to pay a penny for the shipping. If it were me, I'd give a partial refund, too.
