It's not racist, but definitely prejudiced. I've seen native born Americans with a poorer command of the English language. Besides, how many foreign languages can most Americans speak with any degree of fluency? I bet whatever mother language the writer normally speaks, we'd have a much harder time communicating in than he does with our language.

WOW, bad luck bob, if you have some reshipped I would ask for photos of the packaging before they send the next time. like every step of the packing process.

ESL - English as a Second Language; Has nothing to do with nationality.

Heck, even at a first language, after tens of thousands of posts in forums, I've seen REALLY bad english from anywhere/anyone.

I also have another hobby with R/C heli's and aircraft, with virtually all that stuff coming from HK/China, and extremely technical, I've gotten pretty good at translating just about anything. Not to mention I am also in the flooring business, and for 20 years have worked where I am virtually the only one with english as a first language, so I can speak a little farsi, arabic(more from the g/f then work tho), korean, spanish, etc.

The OP's email still could of just as easily come from Billy Bob in Nashville.

Some people even have trouble with the basics even from the country that invented English...

As an aside, there isn't ANYTHING wrong with poking fun at a little engrish.
Some are WAY too sensitive(possibly sand infestation in certain places?) about the guy who said something about 'ESL'.
That or you should of wrote your congressman and started a movement when watching Sixteen Candles.


As for packaging, you should see the effort that goes into a $2000, 15,000 part built model aircraft carrier I am shipping to someone, but to me its still just a THING. For even a $5 fish being something that is ALIVE, the packaging sucked big time. You either buy the proper custom containers in bulk with matching boxes(cheaper then dirt overseas), or you find another way to make money.

That's the reason I don't by (buy :silly:) live fish on-line.
Shipping two (too :silly:) expensive to receive a death fish and a free headache for the troubles? No thanks.
I buy my fishy friends locally to avoid any loses.
 
hahahaha oh man ive dealth with enough of these people, not with fishkeeping, but while buying from "other reputable" online auctions sites (wont name them).. u know who i mean.

Im telling you, there are too many people out there that run shady businesses. Even supposedly reputable companies under bad management with temporarily bad customer service can make life difficult for you. I am currently in the processes of taking a major corporation to court for $1000. They owed me $250, and $750 was for damages. Well, eventually after 4 months of constant emails and telephones threats on my part, inlcuding telling them I would take them to court, and after I sent an appeal for my original request being turned down, they paid me back the $250. Yes, originally the person I was dealing with at the company was most likely an ESL major so hes the reason the mess was started in the first place. Multiple times I probed him questioning, in order to make sure I understand their policies correctly. Well, as it turns out he simply either a) didnt understand me, or b) understood but didnt know how to respond. In the end i knew I was in the wrong even though it took 4 months to prove. Having a credit card involved made in more infuriating! I was worried for my safety. Now they owe me more because the companies management was too lazy to look at the original telephone tapes and history.

So, dont sit pat... it might cause you stress, but if you know your rights, you can get your payment. Its not even about the $$$, its the principle!

rememeber friends: "silence in the face of evil, allows evil to survive". If you dont fight now for your lil fish friend, itll allow him to do the same to someone else...

sorry for my rant! I am really a relaxed happy guy! :) I just dont like seeing people getting bum ****ed :)
