Does it stain? I used it once last year in a 5g hospital tank bur I don't remember.

I have just completed a treatment with this in all 5 of my tanks, and had no problem with staining, at least in the aquarium. Good luck.

Are they glass tanks? Some people say Paraguard stains silicon seams, rocks & driftwood.

Anyway I started a Paraguard treatment for a cory yesterday in a 10g QT. That little fella was sitting at the bottom for more than 24 hours and breathing very rapidly. The fella is eating and swimming now! I haven't noticed stain yet.

ParaGuard is pretty effective for a 1 hour dip too.

Paraguard treats a variety of diseases and that's why I bought it because it's difficult to diagnose some dieseases. I didn't think the cory would make it through the night. I woke up this morning because my kids were shouting, "He's alive and swimming!."

Looks like I need to pick up so Paraguard. :) I've been using Melafix and Pimafix interchangeably and I don't notice any significant differences or improvements. Does Paraguard treat bacterial or fungal diseases?

Thanks for sharing your remedy.

Mela- and Pimafix are not medicine. They are like vitamins. I got Paraguard thanks to advice I got from planted tank forum. It treats viral, bacterial, fungal and parasitic diseases!

With Paraguard and Cupramine (ick treatment), I think I'm all set as far as medication is concerned. Now the cory is swimming up and down and darting to the surface. I'm truly impressed by Paraguard.

LOL, I was told Melafix and Pimafix were natural remedies for ailments -- vitamins? No wonder I wasn't seeing results.

I will most definitely pick up the Paraguard. I've been using Mardel's Copper-safe for Ick (which I rarely have) but I will pick up the Cupramine as well, just to have on hand. I'm so happy to hear that your almost-gone cory is zipping through with flying colors. Hip-hip hooray for Paraguard. :headbang2:
