Do you believe in the 2012 Apocalypse?

As for when 2012 will happened, well we could all be killed by a nova or gamma ray burst tomorrow, we cant do squat to stop it. Life on earth is here because we got so **** lucky its obnoxious. Everything in the universe can kill us, even things necessary to our existence (water, heat, gravity...)

The universe is infinite, the Earth's ocean is finite. I think that alone disproves that statement.

How many planets have we explored? How many stars have planets? There are about 300 billion, give or take 100 billion, stars in our galaxy and there are believed to be hundreds of billions of galaxies in the universe. I think there is far more that we don't know about the universe than what we don't know about our oceans. Heck, if a moon orbiting Saturn has an ocean under it's icy surface, we would know vast amounts more about our own oceans than we would about that tiny speck in the universe.

what i mean is we have seen those places but not under the sea. In any case i never said that will always be the case only that it is now. The universe is not infinite, its just getting bigger... we cant see everything in that either... Maybe i should have said that we know more about outer space then we do about our own planet? Going out is easy, all u have to deal with is cold and airless space. Under the ocean is much harder. Immense pressures and icy depths make the ocean very hard to study u know.

depending on how reliant computers and electronics are on old programming there will be issues.
