I can't help but wonder if forgetting to get toilet bowl cleaner to go with it wasn't just a little insensitive on my part...I think to make it up to her I'll get her a new mop, the old one is a little long in the tooth anyway.

I'm sure she was just so touched by your thoughtfulness that she went out to get something truly great for you. You could save the mop for your anniversary, maybe she'll get you a 72inch plasma tv in return.

and here all i did was take the minivan to the shop. i figured it's her car so she could pay for the work. just wanted to make sure she had a reliable vehicle so she could bring home the bacon. i'm thinking she appreciated it. it took a lot on my part not to just spend her money on something i really wanted. when she saw the bill her eyes lit up like a christmas tree... once again a tears of joy story. i think she was pleased that i'd go so far out of my way. i would have got her a new snow shovel but it crossed my mind that a bigger shovel means more weight to lift at a time.

even today she mentioned how happy she was to go to work. i'm thinking i aced this one.

p.s. you guys are soooo thoughtful. i really do feel outclassed. i'm almost embarrassed to post this.
