Is it overcrowded I would think not!

Not only would I recommend against keeping mbuna in a tank with a less than 4' footprint, but those kenyi or cobalts are likely to kill the peacocks. Not a good mix behavior wise.

If you upgrade to a 55g, you could be ok if you get rid of the peacocks, cons, maybe the 2 unknowns, and probably the raphael.

Think that is bad check out this stocking from a MOD on another forum for a 90
[*]6 reg sized discus
[*]3 runty discus
[*]4 male wonder killifish
[*]I believe 8-9 dwarf honey gourami's
[*]unknown number of bristlenose plecos (can't get them to stop breeding) Lol!
[*]several albino & bronze corydoras (unknown # due to breedings, but a minimum of 22)
[*]a handful of glowlite tetras (about 12-12+)
[*]2 yoyo loaches
[*]1 hummingbird tetra
[*]2 glasscatfish
[*]I think there's about 3-5 of the praecox rainbowfish
[*]6 sae's
[*]2 altispinosa ram cichlids
[*]a handful of black neon tetras...probably about 20
[*]2 very small clownloaches
[*]I think 1 or 2 yellow (bosemani) rainbowfish
[*]about 8 small otocinclus
[*]4 small roseline sharks
Just because they're a mod doesn't mean they know jack about proper fish keeping.

Not trying to be rude, but what does the stocking list of a mod on another site have to do with this guy? Try not to derail this guys thread.

I think it is over stocked... I do not care if it is short term, mbuna in a 29 is bad idea. I did it for 2 months while moving, and I was not happy with the results. Despite extra water changes, they were stressed. I would lose of decor, and get a bigger tank as soon as possible, 55 and then move up to at least a 75

Not trying to derail I am simply saying his stocking isn't as bad as others I have seen, but thanks for the insight.

Thanks to all and like I said that this is temporary not a permanent fix. A much larger and bigger tank is on its way. And for any aggression the only ones I have to worry about is the 2 peacocks cause 1 male and 1 female and the male is ready to pop all over the female but the female wants nothing to do with him. So he goes around and chases quit of the few other tank mates. That is another reason why I went ahead and started on the overstock just did not mean for it to go in this direction.

And who can say no to free fish!!!!!!!

But thank you all for all info on this thread just wanted to show people that you can do it just have to be dedicated on it. And for the WC I was wrong I only do twice a week, not 3 times. Sorry for the wrong info.

This week here I am going to redecor the whole tank so it will be more presentable and show so stay looking out for me.

What you can do with juvies vs sexually mature mbuna is VERY different. I'm glad you're getting a larger set up, hopefully soon.

yes now for the male peacock he does not really do anything to the juvies but look at them which I find cool and grateful. The only one I have to worry about is the female peacock which he harasses all the time.

Now I have tried to break down the aggression by having a good number on the sexes 1:3 male to female ratio but I cannot figure whos who
