Powerhead question

I'm starting up a 29g FOWLR(might eventually turn into reef). I bought two Koralia #1's is this too much flow? should i return the other one?

Should only benefit the tank, mainly, it'll keep more detritus in suspension for the skimmer and/or filter to remove. Your somewhere around 25 times turnover an hour, and when you consider that some people will go up to 100x (I'm pretty sure I've heard of more than that as well), it's really not excessive.
BTW, I think you'll love your 29g - it's a pretty convenient size to work with and stock (just make sure you stock it intelligently).

Thanks a lot, as for the stock its going to be very minimal for the first few months so i can get the hang of a saltwater tank.

That amount will be fine to start with. You'll likely find that you will need more as time passes and corals grow. It will also depend on the corals you intend to keep. The good thing is that with the newer wide-flow powerheads, like the Koralias, it is possible to get large flow volume with low velocity, making it possible to really crank up the flow.

Yes, that's the way to do it, let it cycle, etc., learn your facts, develop a good maintenance routine, don't impulse buy, and so on, you'll have a nice tank going after a while.

LOL! This is going to be my 3rd tank my other two are freshwater.
