Thanks again everyone! I really struggled to utilize the height in the 55, so I'm very happy that it's finally coming together.
He's all over the place. He definitely has a few favorite sleeping spots, but during the day he's out and about, poking around and exploring everything.

There is a stargate in my aquarium.
Hah! This is one reason I love bettas: maybe it's the fact they're tiny predators, but they really do show a curiosity about their surroundings.

I want to--I want some cories--but I can't get any new fish until I figure out whether I'm moving back to the mainland.
Most likely, I will break this tank down, rehome the betta, and sell or give away the plants.
I have a 20 gallon tank. I am going to try to give the betta to someone who has the room to keep him in my 20. I'll get him set up with his favorite plants and stuff. I can't imagine letting someone keep him anything smaller, now that he's so spoiled!
