Unknown Angelfish disease please help!

Now that you mention it Cerianthus, this fish does seem emaciated. And considering what an appetite angelfish have, it means something is out of sorts...

Just a smear using Q-tip or clean fingertip. It should not take more than a second or two to apply.
At least I diy contraptions as needed basis but this should not be that difficult.
When doing in the net becareful as long dorsal and anal fin get broken/damaged.

Have someone hold the net to a point fish is only partially above water , just enough so holes are above water to apply ointment.

If you see an improvement after day or two, I would just observe until completely healed.
If no improvement or gets worse, try applying again.

With worst cut and gash on fish, they usually healed after one application.
Godd Luck!

BTW, I am very curious as to loss of weight in relation to holes on same area.
Perhaps no relation. Comparison between previous pics and now may provide some answers???

it might just be a coincidence

im not sure i have any older pics of her other then when she was smaller but then again im not sure there are any close ups, the closest thing is that video, did you manage to get it to work?
i'll give the cream a shot, as its easier for me to get to a pharmacy then the fish shop :) so just to make clear Bacitracin Ointment would that be the same as bactriban (i think thats what its called).. and with using human meds is there anything i need to make sure the product doesnt have that will harm the fish? thanks :) well off to work grrr :(

Unfortunately I dont know much about Bactroban which contains Mupirocin.

Upon checking Mupirocin, it is naturally occurring antibiotic but I have never used it on fish. I confident Bacitracin or Neosporin is avail even in NZ which are over the counter ointments in US ($3-$4). Ask pharmacist for assistance.

If not too sure of its toxicity, do it in Q/T if and when possible.

No one taught me Topical application of Bacitracin. This idea came about after frustrating outcomes in treating fish with external cuts/damages/injuries long long time.
As long as small amount is used, I did not experienced other implications posed on suffering fish or its tankmates other than good results. As you probably know, water and oil dont mix well thus just simple smear did the tricks for me.

I have had good luck on Koi and Goldfish with Hydrogen Peroxide. Take the fish out of the water and put a small drop on the sore only, wait a few seconds and then put the fish back into the water.

Although Hyd Perox and Iodine will assist, it is just antiseptic. I even used Mercurochrome on cuts/lesions on the fish which require more care during and after applications as Mercury is toxic chemical. Hopefully, ointment will render further service by being absorbed by fish to treat possible pathogens in the circualtory system as well.

As with any topical applicants, avoid contact with eyes, gills.

I finally was able to view vid and it seems she is as thin before. Very odd!
Could it be possible that such constant spawning maybe diverting all the energy to breeding?

Out of curiosity, did you ever had any hatchlings/frys from this pair's clutches?
I meant wigglers still on the leaf before becoming free swmming.
Although I could not tell for sure from vid, I am thinking they may be two females if you never saw any hatchlings or eggs fungus up in few days (gone in few days).

You could also look for Baciguent, same as Bacitracin. Bacitracin is not really a brand - well, it is a brand - but the active ingredients are bacitracin zinc.

my gourami will fight the angels for the eggs, and eats as many as she can at any swipe, also with loaches, and my CAE in there, there isnt much of a chance of having them suceed with their breeding, the eggs look fertile as there are always a few that turn white.. when the two paired up they killed another angel to make their territory, which resulted in my selling my other albino as i didnt want her dead as well..

Im going to try and get to the pharmacy tomorrow, really weird but the wounds keep growing the whiteheads, not sure what that is but it does look fluffy.. my poor wee baby..
