Mafia 65: Masons and Mafia (Game Thread)

I would rather see 8 votes on someone, even if it was me than to see a bunch of spread out votes and it going the full 72 hours.

I also like how Ice has planted the seed saying that I would sacrifice or try to reel in a FF. Now everyone knows I am not afraid to lynch a teamate or be lynched by a teamate. If it is best for the team, I am for it. I also think being on a team with FF could be quite trying.

As far as reeling FF in, do you really think that is possible? If anything I would encourage FF to keep on posting crazy stuff. No reason to change now. It can be passed off as that is just how FF is.

I vote to lynch JL

I don't like the way he is freaking out about the JL-FF connection.

Most of us take what FF posts with a grain of salt. Why is JL trying so hard to discredit his posts then? I think Dawg hit on something and FF did screw up and now JL is trying to do damage control.

The pointing at Z for his vote.

To add to the damage control...Jls post that stretching the day hurts both teams is BS as I showed in my last post. I think JL wants badly to be able to reel in FF or get the team to sacrifice him and without being able to communicate he is stuck.

Don't you see how there can be a problem with taking a grain of salt with every FF post? If FF is mafia then taking all his posts with a grain of salt is discounting the possibility that he is mafia. Unless you know for sure that FF isn't mafia which the only way would be if both of you are on the mason team. FF being FF shouldn't disqualify him from being a suspect. Right now in my mind everyone is suspect.

This is an unusual format. If just three innocents votes for an innocent theoretically the mafia could swarm the target and drop down 5 votes on them and get them lynched right then and there. Although that is unlikely due to giving the whole team away it's still a possibility. I'm going to have to agree with you Ice that stretching the day is probably hurting mafia more then any other just for the reason of they can't decide to train vote on someone who gets 3 votes.

Well then place your vote and case so that you can get 8 votes on that person.

Maybe you just did.

Didn't say his posts were disqualified.I guess a better wording would have been his suspect lists are taken with a grain of salt.

Here is my post and my response to jpap using the train word.

I vote to lynch jpappy789.

Who said it had to be a train, they just have to get over 50% of the votes, it could be 8 vs 7.

Here jpap explains his comment and that he expects to see the votes spread out.

Either way, JL, that's a heck of a lot of people voting for the same person. Unless there is a HUGE slip up I would expect the votes to at least be a little more spread out, especially with the way D1 tends to be...

Here Ice chimes in -

I don't think day 1 will come down to a 8 to 7 vote.

At 72 hours whoever has the most votes will be the one to die.

Then some more input from Ice (both very good points) -

We need to be careful about spreading out to much. We don't want to spread so thin that a 3rd or 4th vote on someone can be the kill vote.

Then some insanity from FF -

wow, this has been a great day one so far. Lets see, a train starter on jpap by JL, Zaffy defending jpap, and LR already asking about it all. Wow, am i the only one to see somethin in that?

Then here is the bone that dawg is chewing on -

darn, too late to edit, add this to my previous post plz.

and JL going all out to say that the mafia wont try to stat a train on someone they know is innocent. After all we can never forget the chat b4 game bit, can we?

Here is what FF is quoting me as saying "that the mafia wont try to stat a train on someone they know is innocent." Now can someone please put that in some sort of context? I have no clue what FF is even talking about and for the last 30 minutes have read his post and really want my 30 minutes back. I am way better off skimming them.

Why is this the lone crazy talk from FF that dawg is focused on. How about FF saying I am starting a train? How about FF saying that Zaffy is defending jpap? How about FF declaring jpap innocent? I am sure there is much more craziness from FF. I am going to stick to skimming his posts.

Dawg taking FF serious is what I have issue with and then somehow linking me to FF. If FF and I talked outside the thread and I said what he is quoting me as saying then we are talking about the mafia.

I vote to lynch Dirtydawg10.

The bolded part points out that this "stretch out a day" makes both teams talk out in the open. Taking away the masons power to talk to each other.

Also ZS has not followed up on his idea ata all. I think he also stated something about voting early, which he has not done.

Oh ZS did vote, for someone who is a UD risk.

Yeah Tex is likely to UD, he's also likely to show up at some point, make a saving post and disappear again. My vote was a prod, Mad's prod is far more effective.

What was my "idea" that I didn't follow up on? It sounds like you are making two accusations towards me here, but I can't be certain.

I'm tempted to place a vote on JL here but I'd rather just add him to my suspect list and see what transpires tomorrow. Needless to say I will not keep a vote on Tex if he is really going to UD. As I said before I'd much rather see eight votes on one person than ran the entire 72 hours and lynch a top vote. We have ten innocents, we need to leverage that majority before its gone.

Uncalled for, and incorrect, kash can tell u that i think. I dont think we even live in the same state.:lol2:

I am not sure we even live on the same planet. :headshake2:

But if we're spread out its easier for the mafia to just vote on the innocent even if its only 1 player out of 5 on the block. And by stretching the vote to much I don't consider 3 to be stretching. I'm talking more about 4 or more.

Both sets of PRs got to talk for the 24 hours before the game started. If I'm correct they will also get to talk for 24 hours after each kill. Its one reason why I see no problem with dragging out days for lynching unless we get on some type of roll with mafia deaths. The longer we stretch out a day the less they get to talk and force them to talk out in the open.

I kind of like Zs idea to just randomly vote someone out just to get it started. FF comes to mind as a perfect canidate just so I can save on the aspirin bill.

Aspirin helps you with this problem?

I have yet to find anything that works. :duh:

I'm here!

We also need to be sure not to fall for any trap caused by a hit on a player voting on the lead candidate. The mafia could easily use this tactic to make us lynch an innocent.

We definitely need to keep this in mind. For this reason, I will wait to vote so I can continue observing reactions.

I do not like how Dawg has attempted to link me and FF together. I think he made some sort of statement that if FF comes up mafia that I will be his next target or something to that affect...

Why does this bother you so much?

Here is the tail end of the post -

Odd that dawg is even trying to get into a debate with FF. All this multi-posting and trying to make sense out of what FF posts is a joke. The fact that dawg is involved in it makes me concerned.

Why would dawg want to even attempt to make sense out of what FF posts? Dawg, you really think FF has his own suspects? His suspects are whoever votes for him. This has been established. FF likes to post and is winning the post count.

Also dawg, if FF turns up innocent will I be your next vote? Why in the world would I be your next vote if FF comes up mafia? Explain the FF - JL66 connection.

I retract my vote on jpappy789.

Still hung up on the ff/jl connection. It seems to me that if it wasn't an issue, you wouldn't be so defensive about it.

I vote to lynch JL

In the middle of this post I see Jl suddenly shift gears.

Then he goes right back to being defensive about being connected to ff.

I don't have a good track record on day one votes. I voted innocents both previous games. For this reason I am glad we have 72 hours to make our decision.

I will continue to observe and see what develops.
